Sensory Garden Progress Update: A New Space for Healing

Big news! The accessible sensory garden at our Veterans Association hub is coming together beautifully. From the therapeutic plant beds (plants to follow) to the vibrant mural on the walls, each piece is designed to make this garden a true sanctuary for our veterans. The mural, a colourful addition, represents the resilience and unity within our community, and we’re excited to watch this project bloom.

This incredible initiative wouldn't be possible without the generosity and hard work of local businesses and community groups. A huge thank you goes out to B&Q Margate, Rotary Club, Birchington in Bloom, Disability Awareness Birchington, Skanska, Quex Secret Garden, and Christies Wine Bar, along with our wonderful volunteers who’ve contributed donations and work in kind.

Your support has been the backbone of this vision. Stay tuned for more updates, and if you’re curious about getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we’re building a space where veterans can find peace, connect, and heal.
