How wonderful! It's great that I found a welcoming and supportive community at The Veterans Association 2 Surrey Gardens Birchington. Coffee mornings are a fantastic way to connect with others who have shared experiences and build meaningful relationships. It's also heartwarming to know that Angela and Helen, both ex-forces, are there to provide a friendly and understanding front of house service. Enjoy your time at The Veterans Association and continue to cherish those coffee mornings!
Please come along for a chat and coffee. It is open Tuesday to Saturday 9-15.00
I'm delighted to email with regards to my military badges I lost at the remembrance day parade. I have them and all lovely. Thank you so much for your efforts John Langley and team. I'm deeply grateful.
When I am in the position to visit your Birchington HUB in the better weather, I most certainly will do that.
Once again thank so very much.
Happy Christmas and New Year to all you angels. Xxx
They are a really helpful friendly team. They helped me sort out my paperwork for my MOD pension. Keep up the good work guys.
Really nice fundraisers took the time to reply to my questions and a really good cause.
I served for 24 Years in the Army, I left as a WO2 in the RLC and have served within Airborne Forces, I finished my career in the Forces 7 years ago and I'd never asked for help before....until now. I was going through an extremely difficult time at work and this in turn was affecting things at home, I happened to stumble across the Veterans Association, it took a lot for me to walk in as I wouldn't normally consider doing this.
I'm so glad I did as I was immediately welcomed. They listened, they empathised and they understood where I was coming from. They have done nothing but help me, as they would for any Veteran and I appreciate their support immensely. I cannot recommend this place enough and I have found John, Angie and Helen to be extremely warm, welcoming and understanding to not only me but also my family.
We are a charity set up to give back to the men and women who have literally put their lives on the line to protect our families and way of life. Our HUBs are a great way for the Veteran community and their families to come together and socialise with other veterans.
We can also assist veterans and their families by offering support with physical and mental health, employment, housing and can signpost and offer counselling services in things like PTSD, loss of limbs or any issues that a Veteran may face either from their service or from their return to Civvy street.
